CELI B1 citizenship exam (CELI 2 i): dates, cost and results
According to the official CELI calendar (checked on 9 October 2026), the next CELI B1 exam is on 11 November 2026: CELI 2 (B1). There is a dedicated exam, the CELI 2 i cittadinanza (B1), only at centres in Italy; the general CELI 2 (B1) is valid too. You register at the exam centre, which tells you the price and the documents.

Cost
set by the centre (example: €90 at the University of Milan). All prices.
How long it lasts
Listening: 20 min; Reading, writing: 2 hours (reading and writing together); Speaking: 10-12 min. In total 2 h 30 min (official figure).
Results
Online, CELI candidates' area (CVCL), or at the exam centre. You need: candidate number (matricola) and date of birth, no account. When: about 90 working days after the papers reach Perugia. Results of all bodies.
To pass, and if you fail
CELI 2 i: written at least 72/120, speaking at least 11, total at least 92/160. Within 1 year you retake only the part you failed (written or speaking), paying 70% of the fee.
